Augmented Reality Walking Tour

Time Frame

Step back in time on a self-guided walking tour of downtown Ponca City. The Time Frame app uses augmented reality to overlay 97 historical photos at 16 locations throughout the district, narrated by Jeff MacKinnon.

The tour covers approximately one mile and takes 1–2 hours to complete at a leisurely pace. Developed by the PCMS Economic Vitality Committee, funded by the City of Ponca City, TSET, and Ponca City Tourism.

Join the Fox Hunt

Hunt for painted fox statues hidden throughout downtown Ponca City. Pick up a rack card at the PCMS office or use the interactive map to find all the foxes — each one is a unique work of art connected to the City Arts Fox Project.


Infrastructure Investment

Downtown Streetscape Project

A $968,000 ARPA-funded investment in downtown Ponca City's streetscape, completed in 2025. The project transformed Grand Avenue from Oak Street to 7th Street with three major improvements:

  • Corner islands and streetscaping creating a more walkable, vibrant corridor
  • Public water supply infrastructure to serve the new planted islands
  • Decorative Edison-style lighting along Grand Avenue

Net New Parking Spaces

The road diet reduced Grand Ave to one lane each direction plus a center turn lane. Parking changed from 25° to 45° angle, creating a net gain of 13 spaces per block — 98 total new spaces. PCMS secured $141,750 in grant funding through the Oklahoma Main Street Incentive Program.


Public Art

Downtown Art Tour

Downtown Ponca City has 40+ works of public art — murals, painted utility boxes, and sculptures spread throughout the district. Explore them all on an interactive desktop/tablet map.
