About the Program

The Downtown Ponca City Improvement Grant Program, offered by Ponca City Main Street (PCMS), is available to property owners and merchants within the Central Business District (CBD) to support building improvements, renovations, and expansions of commercial properties.

This grant is a 50/50 matching program, contingent upon the following conditions and availability of funds. The grant's primary goal is to further our mission of revitalizing downtown Ponca City, reducing building vacancy, preserving historic properties, and supporting small businesses. PCMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Conditions & Criteria

• →Applicants must be located within the CBD boundaries.
• →All necessary building permits must be obtained from the City of Ponca City before project commencement.
• →All contractors must be licensed and bonded. PCMS Investors given first consideration.
• →The building owner(s) and tenant(s) must agree on the proposed project.
• →Preservation projects receive first priority to comply with Main Street America Accreditation.
• →Projects must adhere to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for historic properties and the Historic Downtown Ponca City Design Guidelines.
• →Project colors must be selected from the approved Oklahoma Main Street Color Palette.
• →Reimbursements issued only after project completion with receipts and paid invoices submitted.
• →Applicants must wait for final PCMS board approval before purchasing any goods or supplies.
• →Completed projects or those already underway will not be considered.
• →The project must be completed by April 1, 2026.
